I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing more annoying than having a fly buzz you as you try to cook, or wash dishes or just watch the TV…and after being buzzed by more than enough flies in my time, I have decided to share my knowledge of what works – and what doesn’t.

They’re always going to be around to bug us, make no mistake. I’ve lived in the country and in the middle of cities, and they’re just the same wherever you go. It doesn’t matter if you live next to a cow farm or next to city hall (hmmm, some might draw unfair conclusions from those samples!), those flies have a knack of knowing just how to annoy us the most!

And the solutions available to us aren’t always winners are they? Sprays often leave us choking and opening the windows (to let in more flies), while those plastic fly swats often just break after a couple of swats or result in us knocking over cups and plates and other crockery, while we wait in hunt mode for the next buzzzzz from wherever it might come… I tried them all. And frustration meant I went that little bit further and investigated the ultimate tool for exterminating those pesky flies – the electronic fly killer.

So, if you’re looking for an electric fly killer type of device, read through some of the reviews I’ve written up after buying and using some of the leading insect killers, bug zappers or whatever else you want to call them. Whichever one you choose, I wish you good luck – and good riddance to those flies!

There’s nothing more annoying than a fly or small bug that is constantly flying in front of your face. The traditional hand swatting method doesn’t work, and it might seem a bit extreme to get something a bit more technologically advanced.

But I love entertaining alfresco and having insects flying around your drinks and food is so infuriating. It led me to purchasing the Flowtron Diplomat Outdoor/Indoor Fly killer.

It’s a marvelous piece of equipment and I highly recommend it.

It controls night flying insects for up to 2 acres distant, a massive range that is unmatched by all other products of this sort. It’s also terrific indoors as the 120 watts UV lure power covers 1.200 square feet. Read the rest of this entry

Personally, I hate summer, but this electronic fly killer makes the season that much more bearable, especially for those who don’t know how to kill flies or aren’t all that handy with a fly swatter.

As with most bug zappers, this device is most effective when placed on a patio or in a yard. In order to up its kill rate, it uses electric light bulbs to heat up a cartridge containing chemicals that attract insects, fooling their senses to masquerade as a living creature. As insects are drawn to the device, they receive a lethal electric shock. Read the rest of this entry

One of the most enjoyable ways at wreaking revenge on those annoying flies and mozzies has to be using the Zap Racket. I can’t tell you how much fun me and my kids have had pretending we’re Roger Federer or Venus Williams and hitting a beautiful backhand to smash the heck out of those bugs!

This amazing Charcoal Companion Bug Zapper is ideal for those who hate bugs. I hate bugs for a variety of reasons. One is innate squeamishness. A second is an intolerance of repetitive noises, especially the annoying, ceaseless buzzing of flies and gnats in the summertime. The third is the health risks they often pose. For example, mosquitoes, the ever-present summertime threat, spread the lethal diseases malaria and dengue fever. For all of these reasons, and because of its awesomely cheap price, I bought the Charcoal Companion Amazing Bug Zapper – and was absolutely satisfied.

The purpose of this device is fairly self explanatory – yes, you guessed right, it’s an electronic fly killer! It looks like a tennis racket and works pretty much the same way as a fly swatter. The difference is, you don’t need to have Usain Bolt’s reflexes or a deadly forehand smash to kill an annoying insect. The moment an insect comes into contact with the electric grid, it falls over dead. Read the rest of this entry
